Job description

 Responsible for accurately and timely processing employee payroll, including calculating wages, deductions, and benefits, while ensuring compliance with tax regulations and company policies. Also responsible for handling day to day bookkeeping procedures profitability tracking and reporting.


Key Responsibilities:

Payroll Processing

  • Reviewing and processing wages, salaries, bonuses, commissions and overtime pay.

  • Reviewing deductions for taxes, insurance, retirement, and other benefits.

  • Ensuring accurate and timely payment of employee wages and benefits.

  • Maintaining accurate payroll records.

  • Assist employees with questions regarding payroll and company benefits.

Bookkeeping Tasks

  • Compile financial statements, and ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.

  • Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data

  • Review accounts payable invoices and material supplier accounts for accuracy and record payments.

  • Monitor, scan and apply receipts and invoices to projects or accurately to the correct general ledger.

  • Close out projects and calculate sales commission and performance bonuses.

  • Manage all accounts payable expenses and create monthly expense reports.

Job requirements


    • High School Diploma.

    • College degree preferred but not required.

    • 2+ years of payroll and bookkeeping experience

    • Ability to multi-task and schedule follow-up activity.

    • Excellent time management, organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task and prioritize work.

    • Proficiency with email, calendar, Google Sheets, etc.

    • Experience with Paylocity or similar payroll software.
